IL2R
IL2R, or Interleukin-2 Receptor, is a protein complex found on the surface of certain immune cells, including T cells. It plays a crucial role in the immune response by binding to interleukin-2 (IL-2), a cytokine that stimulates the growth and activity of these immune cells.
The IL2R complex consists of three subunits: IL2RA, IL2RB, and IL2RG. These subunits work together to enhance the signaling pathways that promote cell proliferation and survival, which are essential for effective immune responses against infections and diseases.
