Hungarian Arrow Cross Party
The Hungarian Arrow Cross Party was a far-right political party in Hungary, active primarily during the 1930s and 1940s. Founded in 1935, it was known for its extreme nationalist and anti-Semitic ideologies. The party gained power during World War II and collaborated with Nazi Germany, promoting policies that led to the persecution of Jews and other minority groups in Hungary.
Under the leadership of Ferenc Szálasi, the Arrow Cross Party established a short-lived government in 1944. Their regime was marked by violence and repression, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Jews and political opponents. The party was dissolved after the war, and many of its leaders were tried for war crimes.
