Humbert I
Humbert I, also known as Humbert the White-Handed, was a noble figure in the history of the House of Savoy. He is best known for founding the County of Savoy in the 11th century. His leadership helped establish the region as a significant political entity in what is now Italy and France.
Born around 1000, Humbert I played a crucial role in expanding his territory through strategic marriages and alliances. His legacy continued through his descendants, who would later become influential rulers in European history, particularly during the rise of the Duchy of Savoy.
