Hubal
Hubal was a pre-Islamic Arabian deity worshipped by the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula, particularly the Quraish tribe in Mecca. He was often represented as a statue made of stone and was considered a god of divination and protection. Pilgrims would visit his shrine to seek guidance and blessings.
The worship of Hubal declined with the rise of Islam in the 7th century, as the new faith rejected idol worship. Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, emphasized the belief in one God, leading to the eventual destruction of Hubal's idol and the establishment of monotheism in the region.
