High Courts of India
The High Courts of India are the highest judicial bodies at the state level, established under Article 214 of the Constitution of India. Each state or union territory has its own High Court, which oversees the administration of justice and hears appeals from lower courts.
High Courts have the authority to interpret laws, protect fundamental rights, and ensure justice. They also have original jurisdiction in certain cases, meaning they can hear cases directly without them going through lower courts. The decisions made by High Courts can be appealed to the Supreme Court of India.
