Supreme Court of India
The Supreme Court of India is the highest judicial forum and final court of appeal under the Constitution of India. Established on January 28, 1950, it ensures the rule of law and protects fundamental rights. The court consists of the Chief Justice of India and a maximum of 33 other judges.
The Supreme Court has the authority to hear appeals against judgments from lower courts and can also take up cases of public interest. It plays a crucial role in interpreting the Constitution and has the power to strike down laws that violate constitutional provisions.
