Henry Vane
Henry Vane was an English politician and a prominent figure during the English Civil War in the 17th century. Born in 1613, he became known for his strong Puritan beliefs and his opposition to the monarchy. Vane served as a member of Parliament and was a key supporter of the Parliamentarian cause against King Charles I.
Vane was also involved in the governance of the Commonwealth of England after the king's execution. He held various positions, including serving as the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Despite his contributions, Vane was eventually arrested and executed in 1662 for his political beliefs and actions against the monarchy.
