Henry I Of England
Henry I of England was the fourth son of William the Conqueror and became king in 1100 after the death of his brother, William II. He is known for his efforts to strengthen the monarchy and improve the administration of justice. Henry introduced the use of the Exchequer to manage royal finances and established a more organized legal system.
During his reign, which lasted until 1135, Henry I also focused on expanding his territories and securing his rule through strategic marriages and alliances. He is remembered for issuing the Charter of Liberties, which aimed to protect the rights of his subjects and limit the power of the nobility.
