Henry Grey, 3rd Duke of Suffolk
Henry Grey, 3rd Duke of Suffolk (1517–1554), was an English nobleman and a prominent figure during the reign of Queen Mary I. He was the son of Henry Grey, 2nd Duke of Suffolk and Frances Brandon, making him a grandson of Henry VII. He became Duke in 1554, shortly before his execution for treason.
Grey was initially a supporter of Lady Jane Grey, his cousin, who briefly reigned as queen in 1553. After her downfall, he was imprisoned and later executed for his involvement in her claim to the throne. His life reflects the turbulent politics of Tudor England.
