Henry Grey, 2nd Duke of Suffolk
Henry Grey, 2nd Duke of Suffolk (1517–1554), was an English nobleman and a prominent figure during the reign of Queen Mary I. He was the son of Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Suffolk and Frances Brandon, making him a descendant of Henry VII through his mother. He became Duke in 1554 after his father's death and was known for his involvement in the political intrigues of the time.
In 1553, Henry Grey supported the claim of Lady Jane Grey to the throne, which led to his downfall. After Lady Jane Grey was deposed, he was imprisoned and later executed for treason. His life reflects the turbulent politics of the Tudor period in England.
