Hans Krása
Hans Krása was a Czech composer born on November 30, 1899, in Prague. He is best known for his work in the early 20th century, particularly for his children's opera, Brundibár, which was composed in 1938. Krása's music is characterized by its melodic charm and accessibility, making it appealing to both children and adults.
During World War II, Krása was imprisoned in the Terezin concentration camp, where he continued to compose. Tragically, he was deported to Auschwitz in 1944, where he perished. His legacy lives on through his compositions, which reflect the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
