Greek royal family
The Greek royal family is the former ruling family of Greece, which played a significant role in the country's history. The monarchy was established in 1832 and lasted until 1974, when Greece became a republic. The family is of Danish descent, with King George I being the first king from the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg.
The last reigning monarch was King Constantine II, who ruled from 1964 until the abolition of the monarchy. After leaving Greece, the royal family lived in exile, primarily in London. Today, they are involved in various charitable activities and maintain a presence in Greek society.
