Great Skua
The Great Skua is a large seabird found primarily in the North Atlantic region. It has a robust body, long wings, and a distinctive brown plumage with lighter underparts. This bird is known for its aggressive behavior, especially during the breeding season, when it defends its nesting territory fiercely.
Great Skuas primarily feed on fish and other seabirds, often stealing food from them, a behavior known as kleptoparasitism. They breed on remote islands, such as those in the Shetland Islands and Faroe Islands, and migrate to coastal areas during winter months.
