Arctic Skua
The Arctic Skua is a medium-sized seabird known for its aggressive behavior, especially during the breeding season. It has a distinctive dark brown or gray plumage, with a white belly and long, pointed wings. This bird is found in the Arctic regions and migrates to temperate waters during the winter months.
Arctic Skuas primarily feed on fish and often steal food from other birds, a behavior known as kleptoparasitism. They nest on the ground in colonies, laying two eggs in a shallow scrape. Their breeding range includes areas in Greenland, Canada, and parts of Scandinavia.
