Brown Skua
The Brown Skua is a large seabird found primarily in the Southern Hemisphere, particularly around the coasts of Antarctica and sub-Antarctic islands. It has a robust body, long wings, and a distinctive brown plumage that helps it blend into its environment. This bird is known for its aggressive behavior, often stealing food from other seabirds.
Brown Skuas are opportunistic feeders, consuming fish, squid, and carrion. They are also known to scavenge from colonies of other birds, such as penguins and seabirds. During the breeding season, they build nests on the ground and typically lay two eggs, which both parents help to incubate.
