Skuas
Skuas are large seabirds belonging to the family Stercorariidae. They are known for their strong, robust bodies and long wings, which help them soar over the ocean. Skuas are found primarily in the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic regions, where they often nest on coastal cliffs and islands.
These birds are opportunistic feeders, known for their aggressive behavior, especially during breeding season. Skuas primarily eat fish and other seabirds, often stealing food from them, a behavior known as kleptoparasitism. Their distinctive calls and striking plumage make them easily recognizable in their natural habitat.
