Government of Northern Ireland
The Government of Northern Ireland is a devolved government responsible for governing Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom. It was established in 1998 following the Good Friday Agreement, which aimed to promote peace and political stability after years of conflict known as "The Troubles." The government consists of an elected Assembly and a Executive that includes representatives from various political parties.
The Northern Ireland Assembly meets in Belfast and is responsible for making decisions on local issues such as health, education, and justice. The First Minister and deputy First Minister lead the Executive, working together to implement policies and manage public services in the region.
