Gokturk script
The Gokturk script is an ancient writing system used by the Gokturk Khaganate, one of the earliest Turkic states, which existed from the 6th to the 8th centuries. This script is primarily found on stone inscriptions and is notable for its angular characters, which were carved into rock surfaces.
Developed around 720 AD, the Gokturk script is one of the first alphabets used to write the Turkic languages. It consists of 38 characters and is significant for preserving the history and culture of the Turkic peoples. The script provides valuable insights into early Turkic society and its linguistic development.
