Runic Script
Runic Script is an ancient writing system used by the Germanic peoples of Northern Europe, particularly during the early Middle Ages. It consists of characters known as runes, which were often carved into wood, stone, or metal. The script was used for various purposes, including inscriptions, memorials, and magical texts.
The most well-known runic alphabet is the Elder Futhark, consisting of 24 characters. Runes were not only a means of communication but also held symbolic meanings and were believed to possess magical properties. Over time, runic writing evolved into different variants, such as the Younger Futhark, used in Scandinavia during the Viking Age.
