Gogen Yamaguchi
Gogen Yamaguchi was a prominent Japanese martial artist known for his expertise in karate. Born in 1917, he played a significant role in popularizing karate outside of Japan, particularly in the United States. Yamaguchi was a student of Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of modern karate, and he later founded his own style called Goju-Ryu.
