Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope
The Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) is a large radio telescope located near Pune, India. It consists of 30 antennas spread over a distance of 25 kilometers, allowing it to observe celestial objects at low radio frequencies. GMRT is primarily used for studying various astronomical phenomena, including pulsars, galaxies, and cosmic background radiation.
Operational since 2000, the GMRT is one of the world's largest and most versatile radio telescopes.
