Ghadar Party
The Ghadar Party was a revolutionary organization founded in 1913 by Indian expatriates in the United States and Canada. Its primary goal was to overthrow British colonial rule in India through armed struggle. The party gained support from Indian immigrants and aimed to inspire a national uprising against British authorities.
The party's most notable event was the Ghadar Conspiracy of 1915, which involved plans to incite a rebellion in India during World War I. Although the conspiracy ultimately failed, the Ghadar Party played a significant role in raising awareness about India's independence and inspired future movements, including the efforts of leaders like Bhagat Singh.
