George V of Hanover
George V of Hanover was born on May 27, 1819, and became the King of Hanover in 1851. He was the son of Ernest Augustus, King of Hanover and Princess Caroline of Denmark. George V ruled until 1866 when Hanover was annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia during the Austro-Prussian War.
After losing his throne, George V lived in exile in Austria and later in Italy. He was known for his strong sense of duty and loyalty to his family. He passed away on June 12, 1878, leaving behind a legacy tied to the history of the Hanoverian dynasty.
