George V Of Hanover
George V of Hanover was born on May 27, 1819, and was the last King of Hanover, reigning from 1851 until 1866. He was a member of the House of Hanover and the son of Ernest Augustus, King of Hanover. His reign ended when Hanover was annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia during the Austro-Prussian War.
After losing his throne, George V lived in exile in Austria and later in France. He died on June 12, 1878, in Paris. His legacy includes the continuation of the Hanoverian line through his descendants, who remained influential in European royal circles.
