Gambian Human Rights Commission
The Gambian Human Rights Commission is an independent body established to promote and protect human rights in The Gambia. It was created in response to the need for accountability and justice following years of human rights abuses in the country. The Commission investigates complaints, conducts public inquiries, and raises awareness about human rights issues.
The Commission also works to educate the public on their rights and responsibilities under the law. It collaborates with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and international bodies, to strengthen human rights practices and ensure compliance with international human rights standards.
