Galeopitecus, commonly known as the flying lemur, is a unique mammal found in Southeast Asia. Despite its name, it is not a true lemur but belongs to the order Dermoptera. This nocturnal creature is known for its large eyes, which help it see in low light, and its gliding membrane, which stretches from its neck to its fingertips and toes, allowing it to glide between trees. These animals primarily feed on fruits, leaves, and flowers, using their sharp teeth to chew through tough plant material.
