Gadigal
The Gadigal people are one of the Aboriginal groups of the Eora Nation, the original inhabitants of the Sydney area in Australia. They traditionally lived along the shores of Sydney Harbour and surrounding areas, relying on the rich resources of the land and sea for their sustenance. Their culture is deeply connected to the land, with a strong emphasis on community, family, and spiritual beliefs.
The Gadigal language is part of the Darug language family, which includes several other Aboriginal languages spoken in the region. Today, efforts are being made to revive and preserve Gadigal culture and language, as well as to recognize their historical significance and contributions to the broader Australian society.
