French Provisional Government
The French Provisional Government was established in 1848 following the February Revolution, which led to the abdication of King Louis-Philippe. This temporary government aimed to create a democratic republic and address social issues, including workers' rights and suffrage. It was composed of various political factions, including republicans and socialists.
The government organized the French Legislative Assembly elections and implemented reforms, such as the establishment of national workshops to provide jobs. However, internal conflicts and external pressures led to its dissolution in June 1848, paving the way for the establishment of the Second French Republic.
