Frederick III, Holy Roman Emperor
Frederick III was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1440 until his death in 1493. He was a member of the Habsburg dynasty and is known for his efforts to strengthen the power of the emperor and the central authority of the empire. His reign was marked by political challenges, including conflicts with the Kingdom of France and the Duchy of Burgundy.
Frederick III was also notable for his marriage to Leonor of Portugal, which helped to enhance the Habsburg influence in Europe. He was the last emperor to be crowned by the Pope, and his reign laid the groundwork for the future expansion of Habsburg power under his grandson, Charles V.
