Frank Nitti
Frank Nitti was an Italian-American mobster who became a prominent figure in the Chicago Outfit, a powerful organized crime syndicate in the early to mid-20th century. Born on January 27, 1886, in Italy, he immigrated to the United States and eventually rose to power under the notorious gangster Al Capone. Nitti was known for his role in various illegal activities, including bootlegging and extortion.
After Capone was imprisoned in 1931, Nitti took over the leadership of the Chicago Outfit. He was often referred to as "The Enforcer" due to his violent methods of maintaining control. Nitti's influence waned in the late 1930s, and he died by suicide on March 19, 1943.
