Flight 11
Flight 11 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight operated by American Airlines from Boston to Los Angeles. On September 11, 2001, it was hijacked by five terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda shortly after takeoff. The aircraft, a Boeing 767, was carrying 92 people, including passengers and crew.
The hijackers diverted the plane towards New York City, ultimately crashing it into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 AM. This tragic event was part of a coordinated series of attacks that day, which also targeted the South Tower and the Pentagon.
