North Tower
The North Tower, also known as One World Trade Center, was one of the twin towers of the original World Trade Center complex in New York City. Completed in 1975, it stood at 1,368 feet tall, making it the tallest building in the world at that time. The tower housed offices, restaurants, and an observation deck that offered stunning views of the city.
On September 11, 2001, the North Tower was struck by American Airlines Flight 11 during a terrorist attack. The impact and subsequent fires led to the tower's collapse at 10:28 AM, resulting in significant loss of life and marking a pivotal moment in U.S. history. The site has since been rebuilt, with the new One World Trade Center now standing in its place.
