Federico de Madrazo
Federico de Madrazo was a Spanish painter born on February 6, 1815, in Madrid. He was part of a prominent artistic family, with his father, José de Madrazo, being a well-known painter and director of the Museo del Prado. Federico became famous for his portraits and historical paintings, showcasing his skill in capturing the essence of his subjects.
Throughout his career, de Madrazo worked in various styles, including Romanticism and Neoclassicism. He was also a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and served as a director of the Museo del Prado later in life. Federico de Madrazo passed away on July 6, 1894.
