Fatah
Fatah is a major political party in the Palestinian territories, founded in the late 1950s by a group of Palestinian nationalists, including Yasser Arafat. The party aims to establish an independent Palestinian state and has historically been associated with the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). Fatah advocates for a mix of armed struggle and political negotiation to achieve its goals.
Over the years, Fatah has played a significant role in Palestinian politics, especially after the Oslo Accords in the 1990s, which led to the establishment of the Palestinian Authority. The party has faced challenges, including internal divisions and competition from other groups like Hamas, but it remains a key player in the quest for Palestinian self-determination.
