Fastest Marathon
The fastest marathon ever recorded was achieved by Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya, who completed the race in 2 hours, 1 minute, and 39 seconds at the Berlin Marathon on September 16, 2018. This remarkable time broke the previous world record and showcased Kipchoge's exceptional endurance and speed.
In addition to his official record, Kipchoge also completed a marathon in under two hours during the INEOS 1:59 Challenge in 2019. However, this event was not recognized as an official record due to its controlled conditions, including the use of pacers and a closed course.
