Fascist Italy
Fascist Italy refers to the period of Italian history from 1922 to 1943 when the country was ruled by the National Fascist Party under the leadership of Benito Mussolini. This regime emphasized authoritarianism, nationalism, and militarism, promoting the idea of a strong, centralized state. Mussolini sought to revive Italy's glory through aggressive expansion and propaganda.
During this time, Italy experienced significant social and economic changes, including the suppression of political opposition and the promotion of state-controlled media. The regime also implemented policies that targeted minority groups, particularly Jews, leading to discrimination and persecution. Fascist Italy ultimately aligned itself with Nazi Germany during World War II.
