Farid ud-Din Attar
Farid ud-Din Attar was a Persian poet and mystic, born in the 12th century in what is now Iran. He is best known for his spiritual poetry, particularly the famous work titled The Conference of the Birds, which explores the journey of the soul towards God. Attar's writings often reflect themes of love, spirituality, and the quest for truth.
