Ethiopian Regions
Ethiopia is divided into 11 regions, each with its own unique culture and geography. The regions include Afar, Amhara, Oromia, Somali, Tigray, Benishangul-Gumuz, Gambela, Harari, Dire Dawa, and the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNPR). These regions are further subdivided into zones and woredas (districts) for local governance.
Each region has distinct ethnic groups and languages, contributing to Ethiopia's rich diversity. For example, Oromia is predominantly inhabited by the Oromo people, while Amhara is known for the Amhara ethnic group. This diversity is reflected in the country's traditions, festivals, and languages, making Ethiopia a vibrant mosaic of cultures.
