Afar
The Afar people are an ethnic group primarily found in the Afar Region of Ethiopia, as well as parts of Djibouti and Eritrea. They are known for their unique culture, language, and traditional practices. The Afar language, also called Afar, belongs to the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family.
The Afar region is characterized by its arid climate and volcanic landscapes, including the famous Danakil Depression. This area is one of the hottest places on Earth and is known for its geological activity, including salt flats and sulfur springs. The Afar people traditionally engage in pastoralism, herding camels, goats, and sheep.
