Ernest Chausson
Ernest Chausson was a French composer born on January 20, 1855, in Paris. He studied music under notable figures like Jules Massenet and Gabriel Fauré. Chausson is known for his rich harmonies and lyrical melodies, which often reflect the influences of Romanticism.
Chausson's most famous works include his Poème for violin and orchestra and the Concerto for piano, violin, and string quartet. He was also a member of the Société Nationale de Musique, promoting contemporary French music. Tragically, Chausson's life was cut short when he died in a bicycle accident on June 10, 1899.
