Equateur
The Equateur, or Equator, is an imaginary line that divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. It is located at 0 degrees latitude and is the widest part of the Earth, where the planet's circumference is greatest. The Equator passes through 13 countries, including Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil, and is known for its consistent climate, with little variation in temperature throughout the year.
Regions along the Equator experience nearly equal day and night lengths, typically around 12 hours each. This area is also home to diverse ecosystems, including tropical rainforests, which support a wide variety of plant and animal species. The Equator plays a significant role in global weather patterns and ocean currents.
