Emperor Go-Nara
Emperor Go-Nara was the 106th emperor of Japan, reigning from 1547 to 1557. He was born on June 18, 1530, and was the son of Emperor Go-Hanazono. His reign was marked by political instability and the rise of powerful feudal lords known as daimyōs.
During his time, Japan faced internal conflicts and the beginnings of the Sengoku period, a time of social upheaval and military conflict. After his abdication, Emperor Go-Nara lived in relative obscurity until his death on May 28, 1587. His era is often remembered for the challenges faced by the imperial court.
