Embedded Question
An embedded question is a type of question that is included within a statement or another question. It does not stand alone and is often used to convey curiosity or seek information without directly asking a question. For example, in the sentence "I wonder what time the meeting starts," the phrase "what time" is the embedded question.
Embedded questions typically follow certain grammatical rules. They often begin with a question word like what, where, when, who, or why, but they do not use the usual question structure. Instead of saying "What time does the meeting start?" the embedded version maintains a statement format, making it more indirect.
