Elizabeth de Burgh
Elizabeth de Burgh was a notable figure in the 14th century, known for her role as the wife of Robert the Bruce, the King of Scotland. Born around 1285, she was the daughter of Richard de Burgh, the 2nd Earl of Ulster. Elizabeth played a significant part in the Scottish Wars of Independence, supporting her husband during his reign.
After Robert the Bruce's death in 1329, Elizabeth became a key figure in the royal lineage, as their daughter, Marjorie Bruce, married Walter Stewart, leading to the establishment of the Stewart dynasty. Elizabeth's legacy is intertwined with Scotland's history and its quest for independence.
