El Peñol is a massive rock formation located in the municipality of Guatapé, Colombia. It rises about 200 meters (656 feet) above the surrounding landscape and is a popular tourist destination. Visitors can climb the 740 steps to the top for stunning views of the nearby Guatapé Reservoir and the lush green hills. The rock is made of granite and is estimated to be over 70 million years old.
