Edward de Clare, 2nd Earl of Hertford
Edward de Clare, 2nd Earl of Hertford, was an English nobleman born in 1536. He was the son of Edward de Clare, 1st Earl of Hertford and Anne Seymour, the daughter of Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset. Edward became the Earl of Hertford after his father's death in 1551 and was known for his involvement in the court of Queen Elizabeth I.
During his lifetime, Edward de Clare held various positions, including serving as a member of the Privy Council. He was also a prominent figure in the political landscape of England during the late 16th century. Edward died in 1621, leaving behind a legacy tied to the Tudor dynasty.
