Edward de Clare, 11th Earl of Hertford, was a British nobleman born on March 21, 1793. He was the son of Francis Seymour-Conway, 1st Marquess of Hertford and Lady Elizabeth Seymour. Edward inherited the title of Earl of Hertford in 1822 after the death of his father. He was known for his involvement in the arts and was a significant patron of the British Museum. Edward de Clare passed away on June 24, 1870, and his title was succeeded by his son, Francis Seymour-Conway, 12th Earl of Hertford.
