Edward Telfair
Edward Telfair was an American politician and a prominent figure in the early history of the state of Georgia. Born in 1735 in Scotland, he immigrated to the American colonies and became involved in local politics. Telfair served as the governor of Georgia from 1786 to 1787 and was a member of the Continental Congress during the American Revolution.
In addition to his political career, Telfair was a successful businessman and landowner.
