Edmund Tudor was a Welsh nobleman born around 1430. He was the son of Owen Tudor and Catherine of Valois, the widow of King Henry V of England. Edmund became the Earl of Richmond in 1452 and played a role in the political struggles of his time, particularly during the Wars of the Roses.
Edmund Tudor married Margaret Beaufort, who was a key figure in the royal lineage. They had one son, Henry Tudor, who later became King Henry VII of England. Edmund's life was marked by the conflicts of the era, and he died in 1456, shortly before his son’s rise to power.
