Eastern European nations
Eastern European nations are countries located in the eastern part of the European continent. This region typically includes nations such as Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, and the Baltic States like Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. These countries have diverse cultures, languages, and histories, often influenced by their geographical location and historical events.
Many Eastern European nations were part of the Soviet Union or under its influence during the Cold War. Since the fall of communism in the late 20th century, these countries have transitioned to market economies and democratic governance, joining organizations like the European Union and NATO to strengthen their political and economic ties with Western Europe.
